MPS North America, a leader in Flexographic Printing Press manufacturing of high end servo driven printing presses within the small and midweb range, is looking for a Field Service Engineer. This person will be responsible for new machine installs, field service work, troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical, and phone support.
Within the USA our office is based in Levittown near Philadelphia and New York with an Technology & Expertise Center and back office. Around the Country we have a dedicated team with technical specialists, Service Engineers and Sales force. The team has expended over the last years due to exceptional growth.
As a Field Service Engineer with MPS you are responsible for the installation and start-up of our printing presses and the service and maintenance of our installed base. You will also become responsible for training local technicians and operators. You travel within North America and occasionally overseas and are the face of MPS with the customer. You will start with a training program at MPS and on site after which your responsibilities will increase once you have gained more experience. Installation of new presses are typically performed with a team where trouble shooting is mainly done solo. After your visit a report has to be produced for internal follow up as well as for the end user.

You have at least 3 years of work experience with PLCs and software programming. You have preferably gained that experience in mechanical engineering environment. You are flexible, proactive and have a hands-on mentality, you are customer-oriented and you have commercial insight. You are a technical troubleshooter who is willing to travel (up to 80%, most weekends you will be able to be at home). You can work independently as well as within a team.

- Good communication skills
- Conduct themselves in a professional, cooperative, polite, courteous manner with customers
- Have knowledge and experience in the Flexographic Printing industry
- Preferably living near New York, Wisconsin or Atlanta.
