MPS adapts to reduced availability and rising costs of raw materials

Following the global supply chain issues with reduced availability of raw materials and staggering cost increases, MPS has adapted to the situation to minimize impact on our customers.

The metal and electrical sectors have especially been hit this past year with longer lead-times, limited availability to parts, and high-cost increases; material we rely on to manufacture and maintain our presses.

We are in close contact with our suppliers to ensure optimal conditions, but a longer lead time and a change in pricing cannot always be avoided. Any impact in delivery or adjustment in pricing will be communicated with our customers in a timely manner.

Investment in consumables & tooling

Part of our ‘Connect to Grow’ strategy is working closely with our customers to improve their performance.

In response, over the past year MPS has heavily invested in our purchasing and logistics by adding capacity with team members and automating processes. As a result, we can decrease pricing in certain areas of material procurement and improve assortment for consumables, tooling, and spare parts. Response time and quality in delivery has also improved.

Atze Bosma, CEO of MPS: “Especially in these challenging times, MPS wants to be a non-stop-supplier that goes far beyond the machine. We are doing everything we can to keep lead times and response speed up to par.”
